Hardcore edition of Spalding’s New & Improved Pocket Base Ball Score Book from 1887. Published by A.G. Spalding & Brothers, it includes printed pages with several games recorded in pencil from a team in Lisbon Falls, Maine. Sporting a dark brown cloth cover with a printed paper label on the front board, some pencil handwriting on the label identifying its owner. The shape of the book is oblong octavo, measuring 7 3/4" x 4 1/2", and it shows several small spots scattered on the front board with noticeable fraying on the edges, but otherwise in good condition. A nice baseball artifact from the late 19th century.
