Each of the players is identified by white lettering positioned directly below their respective positions in the image. The photographer's copyright notice ("1914 Darley and George”) appears along the bottom. The caption along the bottom (in white lettering) reads "Boston 'Red Sox' American League at Fenway Park, Aug. 19, 1914."
