Official 1921 Redland Field scorecard originating from the estate of former Pittsburgh Pirates catcher, Bill Skiff. Skiff's name appears listed as the backup to Boss Schmidt on the interior which has been hastily scored in pencil. Skiff appeared in 16 games for the 1921 Pirates, resurfacing in the major leagues five years later for a cup of coffee with the 1926 New York Yankees. The scorecard displays moderate soiling with evident wear to the spine, corners and along the right edge of cover. Delicate interior pages remain toned consistent with scorecards of this era but otherwise remain fully intact. A fascinating document from one of baseball history's lost ballparks and home of the Cincinnati Reds from 1912-70. Measures approx. 6" x 9.25".
