A striking example of the legendary Honus Wagner, from the difficult PC 796 Sepia Postcard set. Featuring 25 ballplayers from 1910, the superb photography gives these PC's a real presence, as you can see here with Wagner's batting pose on full display. A chop out of the right corner is seen, with a couple small spots of foxing on the obverse, while the reverse is written upon and postally used, postmarked June 8, 1911. Technical grade aside, this is a card that presents very well, the technical grade primarily resultant from the postal use and corner clip. One of the keys to this popular postcard issue, seldom available at public auction.
