The full bleed borders make the C46 set, issued by Canada's Imperial Tobacco in 1912, a nightmare to find in top shape. Not so with this blazer in a PSA 7 Near Mint holder featuring Dick "Shadow" Carroll of the Montreal Royals. The centering is superb and the registration is just as nice, with just a couple of corner tips seen on the obverse. The reverse has aged nicely, with just the tiniest dot of product visible. Carroll was a career minor leaguer with the exception of two games he pitched for New York but not, as noted in the text, for the Giants. In fact, he managed to get five innings on the mound with the Highlanders across two games. Factual issues aside, there are only two Carroll's higher than this one in the PSA pop report.
