Pair of 4" x 5" original contact print photographs from the lens of noted baseball photographer, William Jacobellis. Jacobellis' work appears throughout Topps and Bowman issues of the 1950's and his original contact prints are prized by both card and photo collectors for their exceptional clarity. Includes: 1) Luke Easter - image used for his 1954 Bowman card. Before coming to Cleveland in 1949 Easter featured at first base for the Homestead Grays of the Negro Leagues in 1947 and 1948. 2) Ted Kluszewski - image used for "Big Klu's" 1955 and 1956 Topps cards, along with his 1954 Red Heart card. Before his contact print was developed a masking agent was applied to the negative, creating the white silhouetting seen in the finished print. Please note this is actually part of the image itself and not on top of the emulsion layer. Typical light wear from storage can be found around the outer edges of these prints but the central images remain unimpacted. Bold William Jacobellis credit stamping is proudly displayed on verso of both examples along with handwritten identifiers of each player. Both photos include full LOA's from PSA/DNA.

Card images shown for illustration purposes only and are not included.
