Unique collection of four original photographs utilized in the creation of baseball cards. Group includes: 1) Johnny Mize (HOF - 6.75" x 8.5") - International News photo used for his 1951 Berk Ross card. Includes paper caption affixed to verso and full LOA from PSA/DNA authenticating this example as a Type 1 photo. 2) Alvin Dark (5" x 7") - image used for his 1952 Topps card. Dark was an infielder for the New York Giants from 1950-56 and managed the San Francisco Giants from 1961-64. Verso of this photo remains blank. 3) Willard Ramsdell (5" x 7") - image used for his 1951 Bowman card. 4) Jim Konstanty (8" x 10") - image used for his 1950 and 1951 Bowman cards. As a member of the 1950 "Whiz Kids" Konstanty captured National League MVP honors, the only NL relief pitcher to do so. White editorial masking has silhouetted his head and shoulders from the background in this image. With the exception of Mize, which has already been authenticated, all photos in this collection are guaranteed to return as Type 1 if sent to PSA for authentication.
