On August 5, 1922, the Brooklyn Robins, playing at home, took both ends of a doubleheader from the Cincinnati Reds at Ebbets Field. Featured here is a “Ebbets Field Official Score Card” from the opening, 90-minute game, when the Robins prevailed, 5-0. Dazzy Vance pitched a complete game for Brooklyn to take the win while striking out four Cincy batters. Robins first baseman Ray Schmandt provided the fireworks by knocking in three runs. Measuring approximately 6" x 9", it is filled with vintage advertisements from the period including Adams Black Jack Chewing Gum, Between the Acts (Mile Havana Blend) Little Cigars, Chesterfield Cigarettes and Climax Plug Tobacco. Overall condition is good with two staples still holding the Saddle Stitched booklet together. Original price: five cents.
