Lot Description  

Original Type 1 photo depicting "The Bambino", Babe Ruth and his family prior to Game 1 of the 1932 World Series at Yankee Stadium. Of course, the 1932 Fall Classic featured perhaps the single most famous moment in World Series folklore when Ruth "called his shot" in Game 3 at Wrigley Field, reportedly blasting a longball after gesturing towards the outfield. Developed on matte finish photo paper, the 6.5" x 8.5" original displays typical light handling wear and gentle discoloration associated with original news service photos. A full paper caption remains affixed to verso below large International credit stamping. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
