Throughout the 1940s, the New York Yankees found themselves competing in four different World Series and emerged victorious all four times. In 1941 (versus the Brooklyn Dodgers); 1943 (St. Louis Cardinals); 1947 (Dodgers); and 1949 (Dodgers), the Bronx Bombers took aim and captured their ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th Fall Classics. This lot features four official World Series programs, one from each of those meetings. Note that after the end of World War II (1945), the price of the programs doubled from 25 cents to 50 cents apiece. Colorful illustrations adorn each of the original covers and the inside pages boast player profiles, pics and score cards for both of the competing teams. The overall condition of all four programs is fair to good with some creases and scratch marks showing.
