A collector-grade group the set contains 431 of the 576 cards as assembled by a long-time collector who acquired several mid-sized lots of 1963 Topps cards in an effort to complete the set. While the group is missing the two key cards it does contain several of the others including Al Kaline (VG/EX); Hoyt Wilhelm (EX-MT); Carl Yastzremski (VG); Robin Roberts (VG/EX); Mays/Musial (G); Gaylord Perry RC (EX); Bombers Best (Mantle - G); Casey Stengel (EX); Eddie Mathews (VG/EX); Bill Mazeroski (VG/EX); Juan Marichal (P) and Willie McCovey (VG). A breakdown of the entire group is as follows: 11% EX-MT; 27% EX; 34% VG/EX; 23% VG; and 5% lesser. 1963 Topps cards are among the more difficult sets to complete in high grade due to color chipping on the bottom edges centering issues consistent with 1960s Topps quality control and a propensity for wax stains. This grouping is typical of the issue a collector-grade group of cards that represents nearly 75% of a complete set missing a few keys. 431 cards total.
