I have one to sell!
A very attractive and underrated set the 1954 Bowman issue continues on with the large-format full-color design featured in its 1953 issue featuring a large color image of each subject and a facsimile autograph superimposed over the card front along with extensive biographical information on the reverse. It's difficult to say why the issue is so underrated given its beauty but later-year Bowman sets tend to be overshadowed by their Topps counterparts. Presented here is a large partial collection representing 92% of the set however with several of the issue's keys missing including the rare #66 Ted Williams. Missing from the set include #65 Mickey Mantle #66 Williams #84 Doby #89 Willie Mays #122 Furrillo #142 Brazle #166 Consuegra #170 Snider #177 Ford #179 Martin #189 Jackson #193 Robinson #194 Hudson #202 Shuba #210 Piersall #212 Friend #217 Thompson and #224 Bruton. An overall condition breakdown would be as follows: 8% EX or better; 24% VG/EX; 44% VG; 19% G 5% lesser with the key cards grading as follows: #1 Phil Rizzuto (PSA VG-EX+ 4.5); #15 Richie Ashburn (VG); #45 Ralph Kiner (G); #50 George Kell (VG/EX); #57 Hoyt Wilhelm (VG); #58 Pee Wee Reese (VG); #62 Enos Slaughter (G); #64 Eddie Mathews (G); #90 Roy Campanella (VG); #95 Robin Roberts (VG); #132 Bob Feller (VG); #161 Yogi Berra (G); #164 Early Wynn (VG/EX); #196 Bob Lemon (VG). 206 cards total.
