Billikens were designed as premiums for a brand of cigars in 1923-24, during a short, active period of Cuban card issues. Jakie May was a long time National League pitcher across 14 campaigns and spent just one season playing winter ball, with Almendares in 1923-24. SGC 1 in grade, the obverse has some border hits and rounded corners with a central image that features May in a wonderful shot showing ballpark details. The reverse has some light pencil markings.
