Billikens were designed as premiums for a brand of cigars in 1923-24, during a short, active period of Cuban card issues. This is actually a "La Moda", which is an alternate brand of cigars and significantly harder to track down than the comparable Billikens (all 60 subjects were issued with both brands). The card, which features the Cuban born utility man Eugenio Morin, is a bit light in appearance and has seen some rough handling, with banged and creased corners and some soiling seen front and back. This SGC 2.5 is the only La Moda back of Cueto in their pop report, with none seen at PSA. Rounding corners and creases are seen, with a reasonably clean reverse.
