1920 candid original photograph of 22 year-old Cleveland pitcher Bob Clark in uniform. Though Clark is all smiles, clearly visible on his left sleeve is the black armband worn by Indians players following the death of their teammate, Ray Chapman on August 16 of that season. 7.5" x 9.5" photo displays a crisp central image of Clark and Cleveland-based photographer Louis Van Oeyen's significant personal credit stamp appears on verso along with a Sporting News stamp and "Sporting News Collection" hologram. A typewritten identifier of Clark is visible along the bottom edge referencing that the 1920 Indians were in-fact "Worlds Champions." Guaranteed Type 1.
