Tomas Gutierrez issued this set in Cuba during the winter of 1923-24, when the country's pro leagues of the time were attracting big names in what was a pre-war baseball paradise. This SGC 5 portrays Clint Thomas, a 26 year old outfielder for Havana (Habana) Base Ball Club who had a solid season for their second place squad.  The SGC pop report lists 6 graded examples of this card, with this 5 the highest graded by a fair margin. Foxing and corners starting to round are observed, with a nice, legible reverse that has some darker foxing along the top border.  This card is in almost an impossible condition for a 1920's Cuban issue.
