The 1934 MLB season marked Babe Ruth’s final campaign with the New York Yankees. In this game at Yankee Stadium against the Chicago White Sox, the Yanks squandered a 7-4 lead in the top of the ninth inning only to pull it out in the bottom of the 11th with a solo home run launched by center fielder Ben Chapman. While Chapman won the game, it was Ruth who was steady at the plate all game long, going 3-for-3 with a two-run home run in the second inning. This lot features an “Official Yankee Stadium Score Card” from the game, complete with written-in details for each squad’s at bats. Two local companies, Regal Shoes and Between the Acts Little Cigars, occupy equal space on the cover, while Sinclair Motor Oil takes up the entire back cover. The cover (front and back) has become separated from the interior pages.
