Collection of baseball equipment consigned from the estate of former player, coach, manager and scout Bill Skiff. While some of the equipment may have been game or practice-used, we assume that some are store model, just for personal use. Contains the following: 1) Fielder's Gloves (2): 1950s/60s Denkert G35 Bobby Richardson model, signed by Richardson in black marker (signature not authenticated), and 1960s/70s Rawlings Brooks Robinson model. 2) Catcher's Mitts (6): Includes well-worn early "Major League" model (manufacturer unknown), "Skiff" written in black marker at the top, a second well-worn model (manufacturer unknown) with significant use, the string webbing torn away and lacing at the wrist strap long gone. 1950s-60s Rawlings Haywood Sullivan model, well-worn with lacing and webbing severely damaged. Unknown manufacturer "Professional Model," good condition with some wear and tear, "Bill Skiff" written in black marker on the thumb, additional faded marker appears to read "W J Kent." Early Rawlings model, well-worn with missing lacing at the web, very stiff but with all remaining lacing intact. 1960s Spalding Joe Torre "Autograph" model, very stiff with some wear. 3) Catcher's Mask: Franklin intercollegiate model, "Skiff" written in black marker on the chin pad (twice), "EDWARDS" with an address written in red ink inside the chin pad and on the strap. Rusty cage, but otherwise intact. Nine pieces total.
