Fascinating collection of vintage scorecards and game programs from the dawn of the live ball era. Includes the following: 1934 New York Giants Polo Grounds scorecard against the Boston Braves. Scorecard is in poor condition with significant wear throughout and has been repaired with clear tape on each page. Game has been scored and is dated September 12 1934. The Boston lineup is printed inside the scorecard but has been crossed off and Pittsburgh's lineup written in its place. The Giants beat the Pirates 3-2 on that day Carl Hubbell winning his 20th game. 1936 Detroit Tigers scorecard with Mickey Cochrane on the cover featuring a game against the St. Louis Browns. In VG/EX condition though game has been scored and extensive notes have been written in pencil on the interior. St. Louis won the game 5-3 which was the first game of a doubleheader (the Browns would take the second game as well). 1939 Chicago White Sox Comiskey Park scorecard featuring a game against the Boston Red Sox. In VG condition game has been scored with extensive notes in pencil and dated August 26. The White Sox defeated the Red Sox that day by a 5-4 margin. 1940 Detroit Tigers Briggs Stadium gatefold scorecard featuring a game against the Boston Red Sox. In G-VG condition with some soiling on the inside and slight tears at the folds. Game has not been scored. 1940 Detroit Tigers Briggs Stadium gatefold scorecard featuring a game against the Philadelphia Athletics. In VG condition; two innings of the game have been scored. 1941 Detroit Tigers Briggs Stadium gatefold scorecard featuring a game against the St. Louis Browns. In GOOD condition with the piece beginning to tear at the folds. Game has been scored. 1943 St. Louis Cardinals scorecard featuring a game against the Brooklyn Dodgers. In VG/EX condition unscored. Also includes a second scorecard from the same game with four innings scored. 1946 Detroit Tigers Briggs Stadium scorecard featuring a game against the Philadelphia Athletics. In FAIR condition with tears and paper loss at the edges. Game has not been scored.
