1910 saw the second, longer series of cards issued out of North Carolina for the Contentnea brand of smokes. Black and white photographs replaced the illustrated portraits of the first series and with 221 subjects drawn from the C-Classification Virginia League, Carolina Association and Eastern Carolina League (the latter two on the lowliest rungs of minor league ball with their D-League classifications) and many players who would not otherwise ever had a card are included. James Kelley, who toiled for the Wilmington Sailors, is one such player. 

The card has a good, albeit posed shot of Kelly and the photo is clean with nice contrast. The corners have rounded slightly and very minor toning is seen here and there. The reverse is nice and clean and this is one of two 5's in the SGC pop report, with none higher and only two lower in grade. PSA has also graded four, with none higher than a 4 recorded.
