Handsome, framed shadowbox display containing memorabilia related to the baseball Centennial celebration in 1939. Display includes the following: 1) Baseball Centennial Cap: six-panel, red-white-and-blue cap with the baseball centennial logo printed on the center panel above the bill. Well-worn and faded, the cap still presents well, and is accompanied by a photo print of some old-timers wearing the caps. 2) Baseball Centennial Patch: Clean and colorful red, white and blue sew-on patch, featuring the Centennial logo. EX condition, slightly misshapen with age, with some light strands of fraying thread visible here and there. 3) Baseball Centennial Stamp Block (6): Block of three-cent US postage stamps issued in conjunction with the Centennial celebration, featuring an image of young boys playing baseball. VG+ condition. The shadowbox display is handsomely matted with cutouts for the memorabilia items, the frame measuring approximately 17 1/2" x 22", all in black.
