The 1941 Brooklyn Dodgers won their first National League pennant in 21 years, led by Hall of Famers Billy Herman, Joe Medwick and Pee Wee Reese.  Managed by Leo Durocher, the team edged out the St. Louis Cardinals for the pennant, but lost to the Yankees in the World Series.  The team played in the first game aired on commercial television in the U.S.

Presented here is an interesting charm bracelet commemorating that team.  Gold-plated rope chain and heavy gold glass contains a baseball-shaped charm, onto which is printed "Dodgers" and "John Bertsch N.L. Champs '41".  A small representation of a baseball diamond with a diamond-shaped gem in the center appears on one panel of the charm.

Over the years, a variety of souvenir jewelry and charm bracelets have been manufactured, for commercial sale or even as gifts or keepsakes.  This bracelet appears to have been manufactured for similar purposes.  Still, an interesting memento commemorating the Brooklyn Dodgers' pennant-winning 1941 season, and first World Series against the New York Yankees.
