Irish-American boxer made his home in Troy, New York (reasonably close to the Love of the Game Auctions headquarters), who became the bare-knuckle heavyweight champion in 1880, eventually losing the heavyweight title to John L. Sullivan in 1882. This cabinet, produced by the New York Illustrated News, is in FAIR condition, but with strong eye appeal. The technical grade is a result of light foxing and corner/edge wear on the front, and heavy staining, handwritten notations and soiling on the reverse.
