A first baseman by trade and very much a forgotten Yankee, Jack Phillips played 16 games for their 1947 squad and earned a ring in the process. New York traded him to the Pirates in 1949 and he appeared in one late April game for the Bucs before decamping to the PCL. There's some dents, dings and two staples have been removed on this 1952 Topps card, with a child's short pen notation on the reverse. One of the staple holes affects the signature, which is PSA/DNA AUTHENTIC.
