Tommy Byrne looks seriously out of place in anything but a New York Yankees uniform.  A Yankee who briefly pitched in 1943 before entering he U.S. Navy, Byrne stuck with the bombers for good in 1948 before being traded to the Browns in the middle of the 1952 season.  He would bounce to the White Sox,  Senators and out to the Pacific Coast League before rejoining the New York squad in 1954 and would remain there until he retired following the 1957 season. He gets the airbrush treatment here, on a ungraded card that's been handled a little but not egregiously and has kept its original color.  The autograph is sweet and elegant, laid down in black Sharpie and in a PSA/DNA MINT 9 holder.  A stray mark, likely from his pen, can be seen in the lower right corner.
