He was quite a character, Billy Loes was. From losing ground balls in the sun, to not wanting to win too many games as it raised expectations, to quitting the game in a huge tirade when his contract was sold to the expansion Mets, you could always count on him for a good story. The story here is a horizontal, off kilter 1952 Topps card with some worn corners that sports a large, blue Sharpie signature. Inscribed "To Manny", it's appropriately loud in appearance and has been authenticated by PSA/DNA.
