Johnny Bucha's major league career was halfway to a Kangaroo Straight. The catcher had a cup of coffee with the Cardinals in 1948, then resurfaced in them in 1950, hitting a paltry .139 before a final season with Detroit in 1953. Despite this, he has one of the more interesting cards in the 1952 Topps set, with a vintage batting cage and expansive pose topped off by an obviously airbrush job on his uniform and cap. He's added a kind of pictogram under a blue ink signature, which PSA/DNA has graded NM-MT 8.
