Stunning 4" x 6" studio portrait of future major leaguer Amby McConnell while with the 1905 Rochester Bronchos. This image can be found used in the Bronchos team composite within the 1906 Spalding Guide, which we have provided for reference. By the age of 25 Campbell was the regular second baseman for the 1908-09 Boston Red Sox before being traded away in 1910. Photo does remain fully intact with light scuffing but 6" x 9" mount is well-worn with heavy soiling and damage apparent. A large piece of the lower-left corner has seperated but is included. Tape has been used to reinforce two areas of heavy creasing on verso which is also heavily soiled and damaged throughout.
