Beautiful 4" x 6" mounted studio portrait of former Detroit Tigers pitcher, Rube Kisinger. Kisinger appeared in 21 games for the 1902-03 Detroit Tigers before landing with the Buffalo Bisons of the Eastern League in 1904. This image appears in several Spalding Guide team photos of the Bison's beginning with the 1905 edition and Kisinger's name has been misspelled "Kissinger" on face of the 6" x 8" mount. Pinholes appear above and below Kisinger's head, and a faint outline is apparent where editorial masking has been removed from around Kisinger's body. Mount exhibits obvious wear to edges and corners with verso moderately soiled. A small number "30" is written in the upper-left corner.
