1935 National Chicle was the first major set of football cards to be issued nationwide and is an Art Deco wonderland, full of wonderful poses, amazing color and expertly rendered art. This SGC 80 of Pro Football Hall-of-Famer Ken Strong's rookie card is a perfect example of what makes this one of the most attractive sports card sets ever issued. Strong looks like he's just loosed a booming practice punt at an abstract Yankee Stadium, cleats flashing with the long forgotten Ike Frankien at the ready.

Giants players are well represented in the set, with 5 of the 36 cards featuring Bib Blue players, no doubt due to their victory in the "Sneaker Game" that brought home their very first NFL Championship. The card is centered a bit to the left, with bright color evident and essentially undisturbed. The reverse is also a bit skewed with bold blue text and is remarkably clean.  This is a really nice example of a HOF Rookie from an iconic set.
