Initially signed with steel-tip fountain pen on a postcard this signature of Hall of Fame outfielder Tris Speaker has been covered with clear tape and affixed to another postcard (which was mailed to its recipient in the 1950s and subsequently affixed to a scrapbook page hence the paper damage on the reverse. Despite the fact that Speaker was a willing signer after his playing career had ended his autographs still retain considerable value as one of the more revered early Hall of Famers in the game. Authentication initially provided by JSA we took the liberty of submitting the card to SGC for additional authentication and encapsulation.
