Stunning framed broadside advertising a September 12 1947 game between the Kansas City Monarchs and the Superior Knights at Lincoln Park in Superior Nebraska. The piece features a team photo of the Monarchs a team that featured not only Satchel Paige but Willard Brown and Hilton Smith along with future major leaguers Hank Thompson and Connie Johnson. Though the piece displays incredibly well its condition could best be described as fair due to a small tear at the upper-left edge as well as minor staining throughout and some wrinkling at the bottom-right corner. Given that the piece is professionally framed and matted we cannot describe the edges or reverse. Still an outstanding museum-quality piece.
