As a minor-league affiliate of the New York Yankees Newark Bears programs and memorabilia always has a high degree of collectibility. This particular example however is even more so. This game scorecard was for a 1946 game between the Bears and Montreal Royals and featured both a "pre-rookie" Jackie Robinson and Yogi Berra. Additionally the shortstop for the Royals was none other than Al Campanis who 40 years later would make some infamous comments in a Ted Koppel interview causing him to lose his job. The program which is unsecured is in VG condition with some wear and chipping around the edges (including some paper loss on the bottom left corner of the cover). Still the display characteristics of the piece are strong an excellent document of the early careers of both Jackie Robinson and Yogi Berra.
