Interesting grouping of items related to the A.J. Reach sporting goods company. Includes: 1) Scarce "Box Flat": Incredibly scarce unassembled box, from the William Harridge era, circa 1946-47. Perforated, die-cut sheet on heavy board, intended to be separated and folded into a retail box that contained a baseball. EX/MT condition with a bit of mild toning, the die-cuts separating from the sheet but still intact. 2) 1920s Oxblood Baseball Glove: Burgundy-colored Reach baseball youth model glove. The majority of gloves from this era were either brown or black; oxblood examples are seldom found. Attractive split-fingered glove features a Reach logo button, a one-inch web, and remains in VG/EXt condition with some areas of wear along the piping, between the fingers and on the glove interior. 3) C. 1896 Reach Pinback Button: Scarce button, 7/8" in diameter, depicting a Reach brand baseball. VG condition with intricate detail, some mild toning and staining with some oxidation on the pinback itself. Three pieces total.
