Outstanding signed Exhibit card of "Sunny Jim" Bottomley, the popular Hall of Famer who spent the bulk of his career with the St. Louis Cardinals. Bottomley drove in 100 runs six years in a row, with 90+ RBI seasons on either end of the six, over a 16-year career that saw him bat .310 lifetime. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974 by the Veteran's Committee, Bottomley passed away at the young age of 59, victim of a heart attack. He signed this card lightly but neatly in black ink, the signature graded NM 7 by PSA, more due to the thin pen strokes than any fading. Written on the card reverse is writing that reads "Personally autographed by Jim Bottomley Winter 1927-1928." A difficult signature on a card, this is the only example of a 1927 Exhibits Bottomley authenticated by PSA/DNA.
