Though Hall of Famer Charles Gehringer was a frequent signer, his autograph is popular, partially due to its distinctive neatness and the care with which he applied it. Such is the case with this example, the only signed 1927 Exhibit assessed on the PSA/DNA population reports. Gehringer applied the signature and inscription so carefully near the bottom of the card that it almost appears to be a card from a Salutation Exhibits issue, the handwriting neat and uniform. PSA/DNA grades the signature NM-MT 8, due to light fading, but the presentation is wonderful.
