Framed a finished size of 16" x 22", very desirable Harper's Weekly woodcut cover image from the July 28, 1888 issue.  Image features an engraving of a player at bat, catcher and umpire at the ready, with the caption "A pal or a strike - which?".  The cover does exhibit some noticeable wear inside the frame, including horizontal creasing and some staining along the left edge.  The matte and frame prevent us from examining the edges or reverse, but the close matting leads us to believe some wear at the edges should be expected.
