Dramatic wide-angle overhead press photo of Babe Ruth sliding around Giants catcher Hank Gowdy to score the Yankees seventh run during Game 5 of the 1923 World Series. Both teams had already secured two road victories in the series but the script would be flipped as the AL champions emerged with their first home win of the series, trouncing the Giants 8-1. Ruth launched a two-out solo homer in the first inning of Game 6 the very next day at the Polo Grounds, helping the Yankees to a 6-4 victory and their very first championship.
