Issued in 1887 by Charles Gross & Co. of Philadelphia as a promotion for Kalamazoo Bats Cigarettes, the N692 team cards are extremely rare.  Six team cards were issued in total, bearing a resemblance in design to the single-player N690 Kalamazoo Bats cards.

Due to the inclusion of "King" Kelly and Hoss Radbourn, the Boston team card is one of the keys to the issue.  This is a tremendous card, with outstanding image clarity.  The detail in the photo is superb, the contrast is extremely strong for the issue, one of the finer photos from the period we have encountered.  The image is off-center on the card to the point of being miscut, a common flaw with these 19th Century photographic issues but nonetheless responsible for the "MC" qualifier assigned by PSA.  The top  edge exhibits a few small surface chips, but the card is otherwise strong and sharp.  A few stray wrinkles are evident on the reverse, as is a lightly-erased pencil marking, likely removing what was, at one point, a price, written in the upper-right corner.  A tremendous card, one of the keys to a very rare issue.
