The famed Black Swamp Find of high-grade E98 cards certainly had the impact of drawing attention to the beautiful E98 set.  However, the sudden availability of a large number of high-end examples also seems to have somewhat diluted the impact of how difficult E98 cards once were to obtain.  Prior to the discovery of the Black Swamp cards, the E98 issue was extremely difficult to find, the overwhelming majority of the cards in collector grades.  Indeed, finding an E98 in GOOD or VG condition was a high-grade specimen.  At Love of the Game, we actually consider "circulated" E98 cards to be a different set than the Black Swamp cards.

Presented here is a group of original E98 cards that were circulated to collectors during their time of issue, each in collector grades, each boasting the desirable pastel green background.  Each of the five cards have been graded by PSA.  The collection includes the following:  PSA PR 1 (2 cards): Three-Finger Brown (HOF), Johnny Kling; PSA PR 1 (MK) (3 cards): Hal Chase, Johnny Evers (HOF), John McGraw (HOF).  Five cards total.
