Collection of five attractive Shibe Park scorecards for Philadelphia Athletics games. Includes the following: 1) 1935 Scorecard: Early-season scorecard from April 28 game against the Yankees a 7-5 Yankees victory that featured home runs by Earle Combs and Frank Crosetti for the Yankees and Bob Johnson for the Athletics. VG condition with some timy edge tears heavier toning and some light staining along the top edge. 2) 1936 Scorecard: Unused scorecard for a game against the Cleveland Indians. VG/EX condition with some wear at the spine and some upper corner creases. 3) 1937 Scorecard: June 23 game against the Chicago White Sox a 2-0 Chicago victory with solo home runs by Mike Kreevich and Luke Appling. GOOD condition for a fold down the center and some paper remnants on the reverse from scrapbook removal. 4) 1938 Scorecard: May 8 game against the Detroit Tigers a 7-6 Athletics victory in 10 innings with home runs by Hall of Famers Charlie Gehringer and Hank Greenberg for Detroit and Billy Werber for Philadelphia. G/VG condition with staining and toning some long ago flattened-out folding that has revealed some minor creasing and visible foxing on the cover. 5) 1939 Scorecard: Difficult to follow game against Boston scorecard is in FAIR condition with the center scorecard page pulled away from the binding and torn in half. Some moderate staining is evident as well. Five scorecards total.
