Grouping of seven official Griffith Stadium scorecards for the Washington Senators. Collection includes: 1) September 22 1935 (2nd Game) vs. Philadelphia Athletics: 11-1 Senators win behind the pitching of Ed Linke EX condition with some minor toning very neatly scored in pencil with the game date and light personal notes written carefully on the cover. 2) 1936 Scorecard vs. Yankees: Unscored game against the New York Yankees. Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio both appear in the lineup. VG/EX appearance with some light areas of paper loss and staining on the reverse and some more pronounced staining on the bottom edge of the front cover. 3) June 7 1936 Scorecard vs. Detroit Tigers: 10-8 Tigers victory despite a three-run Senators 9th. Home run by Goose Goslin. Carefully and neatly scored game date and score written on the cover. 4) July 30 1937 vs. Cleveland Indians: 13-2 Senators victory behind the pitching of Jimmie DeShong. Carefully and neatly scored game date and light personal notes written on the cover. 5) July 15 1938 vs. Chicago White Sox: 11-3 White Sox victory with a home run from Chicago pitcher Thornton Lee. Carefully and neatly scored with the game date and light perrsonal notes written on the front cover. 6) July 27 1939 vs. Detroit Tigers: 8-1 Tigers victory complete game for Dizzy Trout. Neatly scored in pencil Game date written on front cover. 7) Partially-Scored 1939 Scorecard vs. Philadelphia Athletics: Well-worn scorecard folded into quarters with some tearing at the fold. FR condition. Seven scorecards total.
