It was more than fifteen years ago that our hobby friend Joe Brennan then a collector of T206 portrait cards remarked about the Cy Young portrait "it looks like it should be hanging over a fireplace mantelpiece." Since then we have echoed that sentiment our opinion being that the T206 Cy Young portrait is one of the most elegant regal-looking baseball cards ever manufactured. This example is extraordinary for the grade well-centered with clean image quality. Some very light fading is evident at the top left with the wear and the top-left corner likely responsible for keeping the card from an EX holder. Despite the flaw the card presents wonderfully a tremendous example of what is in our opinion one of the most wonderful cards in the T206 issue.
