Tremendous Briggs Stadium official souvenir program to the 1941 All-Star game at Briggs Stadium in Detroit the ninth in history. The American League was the winner of this game featuring a dramatic walk-off home run by Ted Williams in a 7-5 comeback victory. The original owner of the scorecard made it into the sixth inning before writing in the NL half of the inning "GOT ALL MIXED UP " with no additional scoring after that. Still he gave it a valiant effort. The program is in VG condition with quite a bit of age-related toning and wear along with the aforementioned almost-scoring. It displays well some oxidation on the staples and small marks or abrasions on some of the pages. Hall of Famers listed in the program include Billy Herman Johnny Mize Enos Slaughter Mel Ott Ducky Medwick Arky Vaughan Al Lopez Carl Hubbell Bill McKechnie Leo Durocher Joe Gordon Bobby Doerr Joe DiMaggio Ted Williams Luke Appling Joe Cronin Lou Boudreau Jimmie Foxx Bill Dickey Bob Feller and Red Ruffing. An excellent program from a game played just months before the trajectory of the United States would undergo a permanent change.
