Attractive panoramic photo dating to the 1942 Pittsburgh Pirates Spring Training in San Bernadino CA featuring the team in full uniform posed in front of a stockade-style fence. Framed to a finished size of 25 1/4" x 9" photo credit is given to Jackson Photo of Colton California. Overall the presentation is strong the image clear and crisp though vertical creases are evident likely from being stored long ago in a roll or folded. Some light silvering is evident under bright light though nothing that distracts from the eye appeal of the photo itself. The great Honus Wagner sits in the front row to the right of team owner Bill Benswanger manager Frankie Frisch to his left. Hall of Fame catcher Al Lopez also appears in the front row. A strong prewar panorama with excellent visual appeal.
