Historically significant official Yankee Stadium program from the 1927 World Series. The Yankees swept the Pittsburgh Pirates in the Series resulting in just two games being played at Yankee Stadium. One of the most famous of all Yankee seasons the "Murderer's Row" club finished the season with an astonishing 110-44 record edging out the second-place Athletics by a tight 19 games. The scorecard is loaded with Hall of Fame names including Lloyd Waner Paul Waner Pie Traynor Joe Cronin and Kiki Cuyler for Pittsburgh with Earle Combs Babe Ruth Lou Gehrig Tony Lazzeri Waite Hoyt Herb Pennock and Miller Huggins for the Yankees. The program does exhibit some wear a flattened fold down the center as was typical with game programs. Light foxing is evident along with surface wear and staining particularly at the edges. The center crease is visible on the interior pages as well as the covwer. Still the program is intact and presentable an outstanding document of the Yankees' amazing 1927 season a highly-coveted World Series program.
