Interesting grouping of fan letters mailed to Joe Jackson in the 1940s and 1950s each requesting autographs and mailed to the banished outfielder. Interestingly none of the letters mention the Black Sox or Jackson's banishment - either pro or con - but all were saved by Jackson regardless. Jackson's actual signatures are notoriously rare as he famously was unable to write and thus his post-career autographs were signed by his wife Katie. One of the letters from one Wendren Henton appears by the postmark to have been written and mailed in October of 1954 - nearly three years after his passing. Four letters and corresponding envelopes in total.
