Attractive 1944 letter from Hall of Famer Eddie Collins on Boston Red Sox letterhead addressed to a young fan who requested an autograph. Presumably that fan mistook Eddie for Red Sox Hall of Famer Jimmy Collins as Eddie politely advises the fan that he cannot offer insights on playing third base - Jimmy Collins' position. The letter does exhibit signs of wear including light areas of paper loss creases at the folds and paper remnants from scrapbook removal. Still the piece presents extremely well and the signature is dark and bold. LOA from SGC Authentic.
