1914 Letter written to Mr. Bill Doyle by C.W. Somers president of the Cleveland Naps. Somers asks for help obtaining some infielders as the Naps were struggling with their infield. At the time the team's infield included Doc Johnston at first base Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie at second shortstop Ray Chapman and third baseman Terry Turner. The letter also refers to his desire to obtain Larry Pezold a third baseman and outfielder who played just one season with Cleveland playing in 23 games in 1914. The letter appears in strong condition with moderate toning and edge wear with some mailing folds evident. Basic Cert from James Spence Authentication.
