1938 letter from Jacob Ruppert to Frank R. Stich expressing regret for having been unable to attend a reception at Yankee Stadium due to illness. The letter is on Ruppert's personal stationery as opposed to Yankees or Knickerbocker letterhead with Ruppert's signature applied in bold black ink.
